Job summary

ElevenLabs is seeking a Revenue Accountant to own core monthly close processes and ASC 606 application for enterprise contracts, API subscriptions, and usage-based billing. You will work with Sales, Legal, Billing Ops, Engineering, and FP&A to ensure accurate revenue recognition and scalable processes.

The role is remote-first, with optional London/New York/Warsaw offices. Ideal candidates have public company experience, CPA/ACCA/ACA, and a track record in high-volume SaaS revenue accounting.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in ASC 606 multi-element arrangements and variable consideration.
• Experience leading the revenue close, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivables.
• Partnering with Sales and Legal on contract review and revenue impact assessments.
• Experience in a pre-IPO or public company environment with external audit exposure.
• Professional qualification: CPA/ACA/ACCA (active).
• Strong systems proficiency with revenue tools like Stripe/Metronome/HubiFi.

Responsibilities

• Execute portions of the monthly revenue close, including journal entries and revenue schedules.
• Perform usage/billing-to-GL reconciliations and resolve exceptions with cross-functional teams.
• Apply ASC 606 guidance to contracts and escalate novel matters.
• Support credits, refunds, contract modifications, and cutoff with audit-ready docs.
• Prepare revenue workpapers and support external audits and SOX readiness.
• Assist with UAT for new pricing models and billing structures.
• Improve recurring revenue processes and controls as the company scales.

About the role

ElevenLabs operates a complex and fast-evolving revenue model – enterprise contracts, self-serve API subscriptions, usage-based billing, and expanding international markets. As a Revenue Accountant, you will play a key role in ElevenLabs’ revenue accounting function.

You will own significant portions of the monthly revenue close, support the application of ASC 606 to customer arrangements, and help build scalable processes and controls as ElevenLabs grows toward IPO readiness.

You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Billing Operations, Engineering, and FP&A to support contract review, usage and billing completeness, new product launches, and accurate and timely revenue recognition. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role in a lean Finance team – the right person will independently run recurring workstreams, identify issues early, and help scale the revenue accounting operating model as the business grows.

What you’ll do

• Execute significant portions of the monthly revenue close, including journal entries, deferred and unbilled revenue schedules, reconciliations, and flux analysis

• Perform recurring usage / consumption completeness and billing-to-GL reconciliations; investigate exceptions and drive resolution with cross-functional partners

• Review customer contracts and apply established ASC 606 guidance to standard arrangements; escalat e novel, high-judgment, or precedent-setting matters

• Support accounting for credits, refunds, contract modifications, cutoff, and variable consideration, with clear and audit-ready documentation

• Prepare revenue workpapers, audit support, and control evidence; support external audit, walkthroughs, and SOX readiness activities

• Support accounting readiness and UAT for new products, pricing structures, billing models, and partner / channel launches

• Improve and automate recurring revenue processes, reconciliations, documentation, and exception reporting as the business scales

Requirements

• Deep expertise in ASC 606, including multi-element arrangements, SSP evaluation, variable consideration, contract modifications, and principal vs. agent analysis

• Experience leading the revenue close: deferred revenue management, unbilled receivables, journal entry review, and month-end flux analysis

• Track record of partnering with Sales and Legal on contract review and revenue impact assessments

• Experience operating in a pre-IPO or public company environment, with direct exposure to external audit, controls build-out, and revenue accounting documentation

• CPA, ACA, or ACCA qualification (active); Big 4 or public accounting background a strong plus

• Strong systems proficiency; Stripe, Metronome, HubiFi or a comparable revenue recognition tool preferred

Bonus:

• Experience with consumption/usage-based and subscription billing models

• Familiarity with ASC 326 (CECL) and AR accounting in a high-volume SaaS context

• Multi-entity or international revenue accounting background

Location

This role is remote-first, so it can be executed from anywhere in Central Europe or Eastern US timezones. If you prefer, you can work from our offices in London, New York and Warsaw.
