Job Summary
Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world's largest companies.
As Revenue Accountant you will be responsible for managing and accurately recording total revenue, ensuring financial statements are compliant with relevant guidelines, and analyzing data related to cash flow, assets, expenses, and sales. You will ensure accurate billing, payment collection, and revenue recognition, often working closely with sales, project management, and order-to-cash teams
What a typical day looks like:
• Accurate Revenue Recording: Ensuring all revenue transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting principles.
• Compliance: Maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Revenue Recognition: Ensuring revenue is recognized at the appropriate time and in the correct amount.
• Payment Collection: Monitoring payment collection and following up on outstanding invoices.
• Data Analysis: Analyzing financial data, including cash flow, assets, expenses, and sales.
• Reporting: Preparing and reviewing revenue reports.
• Collaboration: Working with sales, project management, and other teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
• Variance Investigation: Investigating any variances in revenue figures and ensuring they are accurately accounted for.
• Financial Statements: Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, including the income statement.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or studying towards recognised accounting qualification with at least three years experience preferably with a manufacturing background
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and systems.
• Experience with ERP systems would be advantageous
