Reuse Retail Assistant
Salary – £12.21 per hour
Hours – 37.50 hours per week, 9am to 5pm
Location – Thorn Turn, LU5 6GJ

As a Reuse Retail Assistant at FCC Environment, you will play an important part in supporting sustainability and reducing waste by helping to manage the daily operations of our Reuse Shop. Working alongside a small, dedicated team, you will assist with collecting, organising, and presenting donated goods for resale while ensuring customers enjoy a high level of service.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working as part of a 5 week rolling rota.

What will you be doing?

· Assisting in the day-to-day management of the Reuse Shop
· Organising, pricing, and displaying donated goods
· Collecting goods from other sites and ensuring safe loading/unloading
· Ensuring electrical items are PAT tested (training provided)
· Processing customer payments and providing excellent service
· Supporting promotional events and campaigns
· Keeping the shop and surrounding area clean and tidy
· Maintaining health and safety standards at all times
· Reporting any issues or complaints to the line manager

What are we looking for?

· Full UK Driving Licence – essential
· A team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
· Retail experience preferred but not essential
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Physically able to carry out manual handling duties
· Willingness to undertake PAT testing training and any other required training
· Someone committed to promoting sustainability and reuse within the community
