Job summary

Cencora is hiring a Returns Operative in Derby to join a busy warehouse team. You will check, process, and handle returned stock while ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will help maintain stock accuracy and transfer returns to correct locations.

The role requires warehouse or logistics experience, attention to detail, and good numeracy and PC skills. Training will be provided, with rotating shifts and a 40-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify returned stock against return documentation for accuracy and quality.
• Process returns in line with company procedures and SOPs.
• Complete all receiving paperwork and inventory documentation accurately.
• Tag, transfer, and move returned stock to designated locations.
• Load and unload transfer trailers as required.
• Undertake returns-related FMD activities in accordance with procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and update operational systems where required.
• Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, or operational abnormalities to the Returns Supervisor.
• Complete weekly validation checks and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the returns area.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, MHRA, GDP, and GMP standards.
• Operate warehouse equipment only where appropriate training has been completed.

Salary: £13.54 per hour

Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week, rotating shifts 06:00 - 14:00 and 12:00 - 20:00

Overview

What You'll Be Doing

Desirable

• Experience within a regulated warehouse, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environment.

• CSCP qualification or equivalent.
