Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Warehouse Team Manager to lead a busy distribution centre in Leeds, overseeing a team of around 40 colleagues and ensuring next-day delivery.

You will drive safety, productivity and service quality, manage pick & pack operations, stock control, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet KPIs. This role requires strong leadership and WMS knowledge with a hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution management role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Experience managing performance, productivity and attendance.
• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, stock control and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience working within a safety-focused environment.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to achieve operational objectives.
• Identify process improvements and implement operational best practice.
• Support and champion a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

Job Details

Salary: £35,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 4:30pm - 12:30am (30-minute break)
Please note occasional Sunday day shifts of 7:00am - 2:30pm may be required.

About You

We're looking for a confident people manager with experience leading warehouse teams and delivering operational results.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution management role

• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

• Understanding of GDP (Good Distribution Practice) requirements
