Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Site Manager for retrofit and energy-efficiency works in social housing projects across multiple locations, including Chelmsford, Rickmansworth, High Wycombe and Harrow.

You will oversee site teams and subcontractors, ensure compliance with PAS 2030/2035 where applicable, manage documentation and safety, and coordinate installation activities such as insulation, solar panels, windows and doors while keeping strict schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Manager in retrofit, social housing or planned maintenance.
• Knowledge of PAS 2030/2035 desirable.
• SMSTS and First Aid qualifications essential.
• Experience coordinating works across occupied residential properties.
• Strong organisational skills with focus on documentation and compliance.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee retrofit and energy-efficiency works across residential properties.
• Manage site teams and subcontractors to deliver on programme and quality.
• Coordinate solar panels, insulation, ventilation, windows and doors.
• Maintain project documentation, evidence and records per SHDF.
• Work to tight deadlines while ensuring safety and compliance.
• Monitor progress across locations and report delays.
• Liaise with residents and stakeholders for smooth operations.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
