Job Description:

Happy Energy Solutions Ltd is expanding our team and looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Retrofit Business Development Officer to lead engagement with local authorities and social housing providers. This role is key in driving energy efficiency initiatives and building partnerships that support carbon-saving projects across communities.

What You'll be Doing
  • Act as the main contact for local authorities and social housing providers within a designated area.
  • Promote HESL’s offerings, including ECO funding, HEATflex, local HEAT websites, and carbon-saving solutions.
  • Advise stakeholders on funding and energy efficiency measures.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with charities, community groups, and housing providers.
  • Plan and deliver local events to support community engagement and carbon reduction.
  • Coordinate project implementation and ensure stakeholder communication.
  • Support funding applications and reporting for energy initiatives.
  • Produce reports tracking outcomes like carbon and energy savings.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, especially with local authorities or housing providers.
  • Understanding of carbon reduction strategies, schemes like ECO/HEATflex, and energy funding.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
  • Experience in community events and programs.
  • Organizational and reporting skills.
  • Experience with charities or community groups (desirable).
  • Knowledge of local government frameworks and funding cycles.
  • Qualification in environmental sciences, energy management, or related fields (desirable).

Location: Hybrid, Home-Based (close to London and the South East). Regular travel to London, the South East, and occasionally further afield as needed.
