eight&four is seeking a Digital Designer / Retoucher with a passion for AI to join our design team on a three-month fixed-term contract. You’ll craft high-volume, premium imagery using AI tools and lead retouching for multiple clients.

You’ll collaborate with creatives and technologists, pushing boundaries in AI-enabled design workflows. The role requires iteration, precision, and a curious, process-led mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• Experience in a creative or digital agency environment, working at pace and volume.
• Deep expertise in retouching (Photoshop wizardry essential).
• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite with strong technical understanding of image editing, compositing, and colour management.

• Work as a pro-level retoucher, delivering premium-quality visuals for multiple clients.
• Art direct and prompt AI imagery to elevate scenes with props, tone, and lighting.

• Collaborate with creatives and technologists to solve problems and improve workflows.
• Share knowledge and upskill the wider team in retouching and AI best practices.

We’re looking for a Digital Designer / Retoucher with a passion for AI, a sharp eye for detail, and exceptional retouching skills to join our design team. This is athree-month fixed-term contract, which may be extended subject to client approval and the ongoing scope of the project.

You’ll be part of a group pushing boundaries in how AI and design come together, working on image-heavy projects at scale, across some of our most exciting accounts.
This role blends creativity, precision, and experimentation. You’ll need to love iteration and process as much as aesthetics - thriving in the detail, not being precious, and keeping standards high even when the pace is fast and the volume’s high.
You’ll be part of our pioneering team exploring how AI is transforming creative production, collaborating with a talented, supportive team that values curiosity and technical mastery.

Responsibilities

• Create and enhance imagery using a range of AI tools, including eight&four’s own proprietary ones, adapting quickly as new technologies emerge.
• Work as a pro-level retoucher, delivering premium-quality visuals for multiple clients.
• Art direct and prompt AI imagery, knowing what makes a composition sing, and how to elevate a scene through props, tone, and lighting.
• Maintain high standards across large volumes of assets, keeping file management organised and workflows efficient.
• Collaborate with creatives and technologists to solve problems, find smart workarounds, and continuously improve how we work.
• Share knowledge and help upskill the wider team in retouching and AI best practice.
• Work across diverse brands, balancing craft and innovation.

• Curiosity and confidence using AI image tools (Midjourney, Firefly, DALL·E, Runway, etc.).
• A genuinepassion for photography- you love capturing stories through visuals and bring a creative eye to every project.
• A process-led, detail-obsessed mindset - you take pride in precision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt on the fly.
• Not precious, happy to work through repetition, multiple versions, and ongoing refinements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-disciplinary teams.
