We are seeking a talented individual to join our Pensions Decision Service team at Mercer Private Wealth. This role will be based in Edinburgh . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We are recruiting for a Retirement Relationship Consultant to join our Pensions Decision Service team. We are looking for candidates with relationship management experience from a financial services background with either DB or DC pension experience. There is an opportunity to study or continue to study for relevant professional qualifications

We will count on you to:

  • Deliver an effective and efficient telephone service to all members who meet defined triggers for the RRM team
  • Ensure all members who are within the RRM scope come to their retirement decision in an as informed position as possible, as to their choices
  • Make sense of the changing pensions environment and be able to relate changes to a member’s circumstances
  • Open effective dialogues, overcoming objectives, so that members engage with our journey
  • Achieve desired outbound contact rates amongst our target members
  • Comply with all aspects of our Training & competency scheme
  • Achieve and then maintain all areas of relevant professional competency including, where appropriate, formal qualifications
  • Always adhere to your non advised status and achieve call handling time appropriate for member journey and circumstances
  • Maintain accurate MI and customer records

What you need to have:

  • Achieved or willing to study towards obtaining relevant industry qualifications
  • Financial Services experience in a non-advised capacity
  • Literate and eloquent - effective communicator

What makes you stand out?

  • Pensions Knowledge including At Retirement options
  • Working towards the R01/4 or CF1 and FA2 or already qualified (or equivalent) is highly desirable but is not essential
  • Experience of working within the governance of a T&C Scheme is desirable but not essential
