Bield Housing & Care is seeking a Retirement Housing Assistant for our South Port, Brechin development. The role focuses on maintaining clean internal communal areas and supporting tenants with a friendly, accessible service in a housing and care setting for older people.

Responsibilities include cleaning tasks, occasional vacant flats cleaning, handling property emergencies in the manager's absence, and providing office cover as required. Training and induction will be provided.

• An interest in working with older people and understanding their needs is essential.
• Induction and training will be provided for the role.

Retirement Housing Assistant

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Retirement Housing Assistant at our South Port, Brechin development.

The successful candidate will undertake a range of cleaning duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development.

On occasion, the Assistant will be expected to clean vacant flats and/or external pathways of the development and provide general and emergency assistance to tenants, as required. In addition you will respond to property emergencies, taking appropriate action when the Manager is off duty and providing cover for the development office as required.

Hours of employment

15 hours per week

Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm

An interest in working with older people and an understanding of their needs is essential. Although relevant experience in a similar post is also desirable, it is not essential as induction and training will be provided.
