About The Role

Job Title: Retail Van Driver
Location: Ramsgate Furniture Shop
Salary: £, per annum, pro rata
Hours: per week
Contract Type: Fixed term contract ( months)

Are you ready to drive change and make a positive impact as a Retail Van Driver? You will manage stock logistics and promote the Red Cross. A Retail Van Driver helps the retail team achieve business objectives by managing deliveries, collections, and stock transfers for Red Cross shops. Working closely with Shop Managers, you will be the main point of contact for stock-related matters. Are you able to promote the British Red Cross? You will play a vital role in advocating the Red Cross as the charity of choice for stock donations in the local community. Are you up for the challenge?

A day in the life of a Retail Van Driver will involve:
  1. Managing deliveries, collections, and stock transfers, including house clearances and corporate donations.
  2. Collecting stock from warehouses across the country and distributing it locally.
  3. Handling large and heavy items, due to the furniture shop's nature.
  4. Keeping the vehicle safe and well-maintained, including parking securely, cleaning, and regular servicing.
  5. Disposing of unwanted items cost-effectively.
  6. Following health and safety procedures and complying with legislation.
To be a successful Retail Van Driver, you'll need:
  • A valid driver's license and knowledge of current driving laws and vehicle safety practices.
  • Proven customer care skills and a positive experience for clients.
  • Experience in van driving, deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and administrative tasks.
  • Retail experience and teamworking skills are desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability, resourcefulness, and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
