Majestic Wine is looking for a dynamic, ambitious, and driven individual in the Maidenhead area who wants to grow and develop in a company that's revolutionising retail!

Majestic is the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer, operating a network of stores nationwide. Founded in [year], the company recently returned to private ownership after being acquired by Fortress Investment Group. It has undergone a significant transformation, including record market share growth, a new website, and expansion with new stores. We offer over 1,000 wines, spirits, and beers both online and in-store, with knowledgeable staff trained to WSET levels.

The Role

As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will undertake a 12-month development program to gain comprehensive operational, service, and leadership experience, preparing you to become a Store Manager. You will follow a structured training pathway with support from your Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable shopping experience.
  • Drive store performance by maximizing sales and improving KPIs.
  • Build customer loyalty through personalized service and communication.
  • Promote products passionately through tastings and storytelling.
  • Maintain and enhance store appearance and operations.
  • Support operational tasks such as stock deliveries, merchandising, and customer outreach.
  • Identify improvements to operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and safety regulations.
  • Engage in personal development and support junior team members.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Experience in retail or hospitality, working in fast-paced, target-driven environments.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and solve problems under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Passion for wine and willingness to learn, aiming to pass WSET Level 2 & 3.
  • Valid UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
