The Role

As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will undertake a 12-month development program to gain comprehensive operational, service, and leadership experience, preparing you to become a future Store Manager. You will follow a career pathway training program with support from your Store Manager to set you up for success.

Key Responsibilities

At Majestic Wine, our customers are at the heart of everything we do. You will act as an ambassador for your store, supporting the team in delivering an outstanding shopping experience.

  • Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and improving KPIs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Offer a VIP concierge service, keeping customers informed about products and tastings.
  • Share your passion for products through tastings and storytelling, managing tasting events and counters.
  • Enhance your wine knowledge to support your WSET qualifications and sales confidence.
  • Maintain the store’s appearance and operational standards internally and externally.
  • Participate in operational tasks like stock deliveries, merchandising, and customer outreach to boost sales.
  • Identify and implement improvements to operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, safety, and legal requirements.
  • Take ownership of your development and support junior team members, providing feedback to your Store Manager.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn about wines, aiming to pass WSET levels 2 & 3.
  • Full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
