Overview

You will be monitoring stock, merchandising and promoting products to help meet stretching financial targets, assisting with inducting and training team members, delivering fantastic customer service and cash handling. You will be supervising Retail Team Members on a day to day basis, both paid and voluntary, who are passionate about our cause. You'll help to manage the shop so that it's both a delight for visitors and commercially successful. You'll lead by example when it comes to focusing on income and profitability, which help to fund the National Trust's vital conservation work.

Location

Corfe Castle is part of the wider Purbeck estate which stretches from Studland to Corfe Castle, including coasts, countryside and holiday cottages. The shop sits in the village square near the entrance to the Castle, which welcomes over 220,000 visitors a year, making it a busy shop.

Hours and how the role works

Hours: 1950 hours per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary; salary is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. Working days are usually Sunday to Thursday, with hours varying seasonally.
