The National Trust is seeking a Retail Team Leader to engage with visitors and enhance retail performance at its property. This role involves daily management of the retail operation, achieving financial targets through effective merchandising, and leading a team of staff to provide excellent visitor service. Hours: 37.5 hours per week or 30 hours per week. Weekend work required.
Salary: £23,166 per annum or pro rata'd if working 30 hours.
Duration: Permanent
Start date: We'd ideally like you to start on or close to the 25th Dec 2024.

What you'll be doing
You'll be required to support the day-to-day management of the property retail operation so that it is commercially successful and consistently exceeds our visitors' expectations. You'll monitor stock and merchandise to achieve financial targets, leading by example to maximize profitability and income.
You'll also supervise paid and voluntary retail staff and collaborate with colleagues elsewhere in the property to deliver excellent service to visitors, promoting and enhancing the property's sense of place.

• Strong people skills to foster good relationships.
• Knowledge of retail best practices, effective space management, and merchandising.
