Qualifications

Responsibilities

Vedra work with a wide range of retail and investor clients, delivering strategic, data-driven, and commercially focused advice and support.

As a recently qualified (MRICS) surveyor, you’ll join the retail occupier advisory team, reporting directly to the Head of Advisory Services. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing business with exposure to all aspects of retail property aiding your career progression. The team provide outsourced property department services, therefore experience of working with a retailer or leisure operator would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for retail occupiers and landlords across a national portfolio, on behalf of multiple clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, occupiers, and external stakeholders, whilst delivering exceptional customer service.
• Support lease advisory and transactional activity through to completion, including lease renewals, regears, rent reviews, acquisitions and disposals.
• Provide strategic advice on retail portfolios and asset enhancement.
• Manage transactions from inception, through the legal process, to completion.
• Maintain accurate lease and property data, ensuring robust reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with internal teams across asset management and investment to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of client reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and support the growth of the occupier advisory service line.

What we’re looking for

• MRICS qualified with 0–2 years post-qualification experience in retail, leisure, or commercial property. Experience of working with solicitors will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of commercial leases, property legislation, and retail market dynamics with experience of transactions on retail parks, shopping centres and high street locations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organised, proactive, and commercially astute.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and property management systems.
• A collaborative team player with entrepreneurial spirit.
