About The Royal Opera House

The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music, and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. Based at our iconic heritage site in Covent Garden, the ROH Shop is open to visitors and customers daily from midday.

Job Title: Retail Supervisor

We are now looking for a Retail Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the ROH Shop. Working alongside the Assistant Manager and deputising when required, you will collaborate with the entire retail team (including e-commerce and the physical shop) to ensure exceptional customer service and contribute effectively to retail objectives by leading efficient, professional, and accurate sales while following department procedures.

Candidate Requirements
  • Substantial retail experience with a proven sales record
  • Experience in line management
  • Ability to contribute to a proactive sales environment both in-store and online (phone and internet orders)
  • Strong numeracy skills for payments, reconciliation, order processing, and stock management
  • Effective time management and initiative in a fast-paced, customer-facing role
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and implement new procedures and systems
