Purpose

Deichmann are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Retail Supervisor to join the team in our Leeds store.

You will be offered a competitive hourly rate of up to £12.64 per hour + non-contractual, hourly sales commission.

This is a part-time, permanent position, contracted for 30 hours per week. Ideal candidate: If you have energy, drive, and passion to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing retail environment, this is the role for you!

You will have a positive attitude towards providing exceptional customer service, the ability to lead a team, stamina to work on a fast-paced shop floor, and capacity to work calmly under pressure.

You should have previous retail experience, ideally with supervisory experience. Key activities:

1. Lead and supervise the store team in the absence of the Store Manager.
2. Open & close the store, including cashing up and completing associated administrative duties.
3. Offer excellent levels of customer service with strong product knowledge.
4. Lead by example by recommending and promoting complementary products with each sale.
5. Assist management in leading the team to achieve store sales targets and KPIs.
6. Support team members as needed.
7. Ensure the store is correctly merchandised, with refreshed and inviting product displays.
8. Process stock deliveries and store transfers.
9. Handle customer queries and complaints.

Personal characteristics:

1. Able to take direction from management regarding additional tasks and duties.
2. Previous supervisory experience, including cashing up and banking.
3. Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude.
4. Ability to supervise, motivate, coach, and work with a team.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Willing to approach and serve all customers.
7. Drive to exceed monthly performance targets.
8. Methodical approach to daily tasks, including stock SKU management.
9. High attention to detail.
10. Ability to work both individually and as part of a diverse team.
11. Willingness to work 30 hours per week with flexibility across any day (Monday - Sunday).

Salary/Pay: up to £12.64 per hour + non-contractual, hourly sales commission.
