Purpose

Deichmann are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Retail Supervisor to join the team in our Leicester store.

You will be offered a competitive hourly rate of up to £13.41 per hour + non-contractual, hourly sales commission.

At Deichmann, our Retail Supervisors play a vital role in supporting the store management team and delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our customers.

This is a part-time, permanent position, contracted to 30 hours per week. Ideal candidates will have energy, drive, and passion to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing retail environment.

You should have a positive attitude towards providing exceptional customer service, the ability to lead a team, stamina for a fast-paced shop floor, and the capacity to work calmly under pressure.

Previous retail experience is required, ideally with supervisory experience. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Lead and supervise the store team in the absence of the Store Manager.
  2. Open & close the store, including cashing up and completing related administrative duties.
  3. Offer excellent customer service with strong product knowledge.
  4. Lead by example, recommending and promoting complementary products with each sale.
  5. Assist management in achieving store sales targets and KPIs.
  6. Support team members as needed.
  7. Ensure proper store merchandising, refreshing product displays to attract customers.
  8. Process stock deliveries and store transfers.
  9. Handle customer queries and complaints.

Personal characteristics include:

  1. Ability to follow management instructions regarding additional tasks.
  2. Previous supervisory experience, including cashing up and banking.
  3. Self-motivated with a positive, proactive attitude.
  4. Ability to motivate, coach, and work with a team.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Willingness to serve all customers.
  7. Drive to exceed monthly performance targets.
  8. Methodical approach to daily tasks, including stock SKU management.
  9. High attention to detail.
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
  11. Flexibility to work 30 hours per week, any day from Monday to Sunday.
