Job description

Job Title: Retail Supervisor

Deichmann is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Retail Supervisor to join our Birmingham store team.

Purpose: Support the store management team and deliver an exceptional shopping experience to our customers.

Compensation: Up to £13.41 per hour + non-contractual hourly sales commission.

Position Details: This is a part-time, permanent role, contracted for 20 hours per week.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Energetic, driven, and passionate about working in a fast-paced, customer-facing retail environment.
  • Positive attitude towards customer service.
  • Previous retail experience, ideally with supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and supervise the store team in the absence of the Store Manager.
  2. Open & close the store, including cashing up and administrative duties.
  3. Provide excellent customer service and possess strong product knowledge.
  4. Promote complementary products during sales.
  5. Assist management in achieving store sales targets and KPIs.
  6. Support team members as needed.
  7. Ensure proper merchandising, refreshed displays, and inviting product presentation.
  8. Manage stock deliveries and store transfers.
  9. Handle customer queries and complaints.
Personal Characteristics:
  • Ability to follow management instructions and perform additional tasks.
  • Experience with supervisory duties, including cashing up and banking.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and lead a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to serve all customers.
  • Drive to exceed performance targets.
  • Methodical in completing daily tasks, including stock management.
  • Attention to detail.

  • Flexible to work any day from Monday to Sunday.
