Retail Supervisor 20 hour Contracts, Leicester

Deichmann has an exciting opportunity for Retail Supervisors to join our Leicester store! In return for your hard work, you will be offered a competitive hourly rate of up to £13.41 plus a 40p per hour performance-related bonus.

You will receive full training at either our Coventry or Rugby store, and once completed, be based in Leicester. Are you looking for a more exciting challenge in retail? If yes, then Deichmann is the place for you! As a Supervisor, you will play a vital role in leading the team and ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience.

Ideal candidates may have previous supervisory experience in retail or a related sector, or be looking to step into retail management for the first time. You should demonstrate excellent leadership skills, energy, and enthusiasm.

Key activities:
  1. Lead and supervise the store team in the absence of the Store Manager.
  2. Open & close the store, including cashing up and administrative duties.
  3. Provide excellent customer service with a strong product knowledge.
  4. Promote and recommend shoe care products, and support team training.
  5. Ensure the store is well merchandised and displays are inviting.
  6. Manage stock deliveries and store transfers.
  7. Support the achievement of monthly targets.
  8. Handle customer queries and complaints.
Personal characteristics:
  • Retail or related sector experience or transferable skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Confident in supervising, motivating, and coaching a team.
  • Organized with a structured work approach.
  • Customer-focused and task-oriented.
  • Commercially aware with good spatial awareness.
  • Effective communicator with attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure and at pace.
  • Previous supervisory experience, including cashing up and banking, is preferred.
  • Fully flexible working hours, including evenings and bank holidays.

Salary: £13.41 per hour.
