Job Description

Purpose: Deichmann are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Retail Supervisor to join the team in our West Bromwich store.

You will be offered a competitive hourly rate of up to £13.41 per hour plus non-contractual, hourly sales commission.

As a Retail Supervisor, your role is vital in supporting the store management team and delivering an exceptional shopping experience to customers. This is a part-time, permanent position, contracted for 16 hours per week.

Ideal candidates will have energy, drive, and passion for working in a fast-paced, customer-facing retail environment. You should have a positive attitude towards customer service, leadership ability, stamina for the shop floor, and capacity to work calmly under pressure.

Previous retail experience and supervisory experience are preferred. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Lead and supervise the store team in the absence of the Store Manager.
  2. Open & close the store, including cashing up and administrative duties.
  3. Provide excellent customer service with strong product knowledge.
  4. Promote and recommend products to increase sales.
  5. Support team members and help achieve sales targets and KPIs.
  6. Ensure proper merchandising and inviting product displays.
  7. Process stock deliveries and store transfers.
  8. Handle customer queries and complaints.

Personal characteristics include:

  1. Ability to follow management directions for additional tasks.
  2. Supervisory experience, including cashing up and banking.
  3. Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  4. Leadership, motivation, coaching skills.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Willingness to serve all customers.
  7. Drive to exceed performance targets.
  8. Methodical approach to daily tasks and stock management.
  9. Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  10. Flexibility to work any day from Monday to Sunday.

The salary is up to £13.41 per hour, plus non-contractual sales commission.
