Job Description:

Purpose: Deichmann has an exciting new opportunity with an immediate start for a Supervisor to join the team. In return for your hard work, you will be offered a competitive hourly rate of up to £13.41 per hour plus a non-contractual performance-related bonus.

This is a temporary contract for 1 year.

  • Will have experience working as a supervisor in retail or a related sector, or be looking to take their first step into retail management.
  • Must demonstrate excellent supervisory and leadership skills, and be energetic and enthusiastic.

Key activities include:

  • Leading and supervising the store team in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Opening and closing the store, including cashing up and completing administrative duties.
  • Providing excellent customer service and maintaining expert knowledge of products.
  • Leading by example, promoting and recommending shoe care products, and supporting team training.
  • Ensuring the store is well merchandised and product displays are attractive.
  • Processing stock deliveries and store transfers.
  • Supporting the achievement of monthly targets.
  • Handling customer queries and complaints.

Personal characteristics:

  • Retail experience or transferable skills from related sectors.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Confident in supervising, motivating, and coaching a team.
  • Well-organized and structured in approach.
  • Customer-focused and operationally aware.
  • Commercial and spatial awareness.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work at pace and under pressure.
  • Previous supervisory experience, including cashing up and banking, is preferred.
  • Fully flexible (Monday – Sunday), including evenings and bank holidays.

Salary/Pay: Up to £13.41 per hour plus non-contractual hourly sales commission.
