Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a Retail Supervisor to support the smooth running of operations for a major High Street brand. The role is full-time (35 hours per week) with shifts that vary, including weekends as required.

You will manage a small team, ensure high standards of service, and handle till operations while maintaining food hygiene and safety standards. Compass Group UK&I offers progression opportunities and development across 6,000 venues.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising frontline teams in a similar retail/food service environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Check and store deliveries promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and create a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Be a responsible key holder and handle till operations.
• Take orders, process payments, and assist with bookwork.
• Produce weekly rotas and manage stock levels.
• Delegate tasks to ensure proactive team performance.
• Ensure compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Follow Health & Safety regulations.

Job DescriptionWe're currently recruiting a dedicated Retail Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in a major High Street brand on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week. As a Retail Supervisor, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work. Your key responsibilities may include:

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Using the till, taking order and receiving payments
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Our ideal Retail Supervisor will:

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
