Job summary

Toolstation in Letchworth is seeking a Retail Supervisor for 30 hours per week to lead the team and ensure excellent customer service. You will assist with store operations, coaching staff, and maintaining stock levels while delivering a great customer experience.

The role requires flexibility to start early and finish late, with a hands-on approach to deliveries, shelving, and maintaining branch standards.

Qualifications

• No retail experience required but a can-do attitude helps.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.
• Must be able to work early starts and late finishes, including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support. Stand in for Store Manager when needed, motivate and coach the team to grow sales and hit targets.
• Muck in with deliveries: check, unpack, stock shelves and clean the branch.
• Deliver great service with a smile, coaching the team to do the same even in busy periods.
• Ask questions and build relationships to ensure customers leave with what they need.
• Create a positive work environment with high branch standards and strong product availability.

Retail Supervisor in Letchworth

30 hours per week

Our stores are open from 7 AM to 8 PM, so you must be able to manage early starts and late finishes.

Of course as a retail supervisor, you'll serve customers, and support the Store Manager but you'll also be checking deliveries, picking items from the warehouse and stocking shelves. And it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. But if you take real pride in what you and the team do, our customers will notice and love us all the more for it.

Day-to-day

• Supporting. Whether it's standing in for the Store Manager in their absence, motivating and engaging the team or coaching the team to grow sales and achieve targets.
• Mucking in. Checking and unpacking deliveries, stocking shelves, cleaning the branch and putting orders together.
• Delivering great service. Providing a great customer experience with a smile on your face - no matter how busy you are and coaching the team to do the same.
• Asking questions and building relationships. Making sure our customers leave the branch with everything that they need for the job.
• Building a fun working environment. Maintaining our great product availability and high branch standards, while making sure that your branch is somewhere everyone loves coming to work.

Hard work and passion. You don't need retail experience. Just be focused on delivering great service and we'll teach you the rest.
