A community-focused charity in Leeds is seeking a Retail Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of their shop. The successful candidate will ensure excellent customer service and meet income targets while leading a team of Companions. Applicants should have retail experience, particularly in charity, and strong interpersonal skills. The position offers a salary of £27,500 per year, along with a generous pension package and 25 days of annual leave.

Emmaus is a secular, worldwide, social enterprise movement that exists to fight poverty, homelessness and other forms of social exclusion.
We provide a home and meaningful work experience to 30 adults, known as Companions, offering them a stable home and an opportunity to find a long-term route out of homelessness.
Your main responsibilities will be the day-to-day running of the shop, working alongside your team of Companions, ensuring a high standard of customer service is provided and income targets are met.
Ideally you will have experience in a retail environment, particularly in charity retail, along with experience in supervising or leading a team. We need someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate Companions and provide a positive experience for customers. You’ll also have an eye for merchandising, good organisational skills and prior knowledge of an EPOS system will be an advantage.
We need a good team player who can work effectively under pressure, whilst supporting a diverse group of people. You’ll also have strong administration and time management skills. and the personal resilience to work with a challenging client group. Common sense, a practical mind set, and a good sense of humour are essential.
Your working days will be Tuesday to Saturday (37.5 hours per week). We will be paying £27,500 per year, with annual reviews, plus a generous pension package and 25 days annual leave.
