Job description

RETAIL STORE MANAGER – 30-35 HOURS PER WEEK

Established in 2012, Grape Tree currently has 174 stores in the UK. We are looking to recruit an ambitious, confident, and enthusiastic Retail Store Manager to represent our company in our BRAND NEW SIDMOUTH STORE. You will report to the Retail Operations Manager, and your duties will include:

Role:

You will provide fast, efficient, pleasant, and unrivalled customer service. As a Retail Store Manager, you need to ensure that the store is well stocked, clean, and tidy, leaving customers with a positive lasting impression to encourage repeat visits.

Responsibilities:
  1. Strong understanding of stock control, including ordering goods, managing deliveries, and banking monies.
  2. Hands-on management approach.
  3. Operate the till according to company instructions.
  4. Provide the highest possible standard of customer service.
  5. Ensure shelves are well filled, stocked, and faced at all times.
  6. Ensure correct pricing and stock rotation, including removing expired goods and reporting any 'Best Before' issues.
  7. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety throughout the store.
  8. Observe and report any breaches of company rules.
  9. Ensure staff cooperation for smooth store operations.
Essential Skills / Experience:
  1. Ability to deliver excellent customer service, ideally with food retail experience.
  2. Good cash handling skills.
  3. Strong staff supervision and organizational skills.
  4. Organized, practical, and proactive.
  5. Experience in retail management, food retail, supermarket, or convenience store roles is advantageous.
