The Role

We are seeking an experienced Retail Architect to join a leading SaaS product company. You will advise the CIO, provide architectural guidance, oversee the systems landscape, and create to-be architectures aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess alignment between business and technology roadmaps
• Evaluate solutions for end user experience
• Create and maintain Architectural Artifacts (models, governance, roadmaps, etc.)
• Collaborate on enterprise business capability models
• Guide cross-functional teams to develop optimal architectures
• Provide technical leadership and advice to business and tech groups
• Analyze technical challenges throughout project lifecycle
• Learn new technologies swiftly
• Assess security impacts on solution design and development
• Document current IT environments
• Define future architectures and develop gap plans
• Work with IT leaders and delivery teams to ensure best practices
• Coordinate with client architects for end-to-end solution governance

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an enterprise or solution architect for large-scale systems
• Proven ability to produce clear documentation for multi-tier architectures and communicate effectively with business users
• Strong knowledge of retail systems (Kiosk, Stock management, Finance, 3PL, digital)
• Excellent communication skills with technical and business stakeholders
• Teamwork and collaboration skills across organizations
• Ability to adapt to new application providers and drive change in retail
• Deep understanding of business functions, operations, and strategies
• Knowledge of cloud offerings and architectures
• Understanding of security operations and standards in multi-tier, multi-tenant web applications
