Retail Store Assistant

£12.21 per hour plus benefits

Reports to: Shop manager

Department: Trading

Location: Harrogate, Beulah Street Shop

Contract: Permanent

Working hours: Part-time, 15 hours per week

Role overview: We’re seeking a motivated store assistant to join our trading team. You will act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, engaging with the community, representing our brand, and showcasing the great work we do. You will be surrounded by passionate colleagues committed to beating cancer.

Key responsibilities:

1. Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
2. Working as part of the shop team to meet sales and fundraising targets.
3. Maintaining shop standards, including visual presentation, safeguarding compliance, and health and safety.
4. Building relationships within the local community and with Cancer Research UK colleagues.
5. Supporting fundraising events to achieve targets.
6. Taking keyholder responsibilities as required (training provided).
7. Engaging in manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties.
