Lidl GB is opening a brand-new store in 2027 and is recruiting a Retail Shift Manager to help launch and run the store. You’ll lead the team, uphold our standards on the shop floor and keep operations ticking smoothly across a fast‑paced day.

You’ll receive a competitive hourly rate (£15.45–£15.95) with extra pay for bank holidays and night shifts, 30–40 hours per week, pro‑rated holiday entitlement of 30–35 days, a 10% in‑store discount, enhanced family leave, and pension support.

• Oversee cash handling, stock, and inventory as needed.

Just a quick heads-up: this role is for our brand-new store opening its doors in 2027! While the new store is being built and prepared, you’ll be getting hands‑on experience and training in our nearby Lidl stores so you're fully ready for launch day.

As a Retail Shift Manager at Lidl, you’ll help us maintain our high standards day after day. From motivating your team to taking responsibility for the shop floor, you’ll keep our store running like clockwork, thriving in a fast‑paced and challenging environment. In return, we’ll give you a competitive hourly pay rate based on equal opportunity and pay structures, plus an extra £2.00 per hour for work during bank holidays and £3.50 per hour for night shifts, as well as a generous benefits package designed to support your well‑being and life outside of Lidl.

What you'll do

• Motivate and support your team, learning from our Leadership and Company Principles
• Swiftly solve problems and delegate tasks

• Manage operations within your Store and colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager
• Handle freshness, cash processes, inventory and stock management to make sure shifts run smoothly
