About the Role

We are looking for a Retail Shift Manager to join our team in Newport. The role is full-time, with a starting hourly rate of £14.95, a 30-40 hour contract, and 30-35 days holiday (pro rata). Benefits include a 10% in-store discount and enhanced family leave.

As a Retail Shift Manager at Lidl, you will help us maintain our high standards day after day. You will motivate your team, take responsibility for the shop floor, and keep our store running like clockwork in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

In return, we will give you a competitive hourly pay rate, plus an extra £2.00 per hour for work during bank holidays and £3.50 per hour for night shifts, as well as a generous benefits package designed to support your well-being and life outside of Lidl.

What you'll do
  • Motivate and support your team, learning from our Leadership and Company Principles
  • Swiftly solve problems and delegate tasks
  • Create an environment where your colleagues can succeed alongside you
  • Manage operations within your Store and colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager
  • Handle freshness, cash processes, inventory and stock management to make sure shifts run smoothly
  • Give our customers the very best experience every time they visit your store
