Job summary

BARDWOOD in Bridgwater is seeking a Retail Security Officer to safeguard customers and staff in a busy store. The role runs 14:00–22:00 most evenings, with Thursday off, and involves patrolling premises and controlling entry/exit points.

You will transfer to the client permanently after 12 weeks with benefits discussed at transfer. You must hold an SIA license, have a 5-year career/history, and be physically fit to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• SIA license required.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Physically fit to undertake tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.
