Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to bring energy, professionalism and a calm presence to the shop floor of a busy Guildford store. You'll help protect people, prevent loss and create a safe, positive shopping experience for customers and colleagues alike.

The role offers flexible shifts and a paid lunch break (£13.23 per hour). You’ll deter theft, patrol stores, operate CCTV and work with store management and local partners to enhance safety.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence or willingness to complete training
• Full 5-year checkable employment or education history is essential for vetting

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
