Job summary

Staffline are recruiting Retail Security Officers to cover sites across Devon, including Tiverton. The role offers £16.20 per hour with varying shifts and an opportunity to develop a career in security. SG/DS SIA licence is required, with support to gain licensing if needed.

You’ll join a supportive team across multiple sites and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues. New to security or already licensed?

Qualifications

• SIA licence (SG/DS) required or being pursued.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work with customers.
• Reliable team member able to stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different sites across Devon.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible security presence on site.
• Help keep customers and staff safe.
• Assist with loss prevention and incident reporting.
• Monitor incidents using digital systems and report accordingly.
• Follow site procedures including fire/evacuation processes.
• Deliver a friendly, professional service each shift.

We're looking for Retail Security Officers to join teams across Devon, with opportunities available at multiple sites. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, this is a great chance to step into a role where you'll be supported from day one.

You’ll help create safe, welcoming environments for customers and colleagues, while working as part of a supportive team that values what you do.

New to security? We can support you in gaining your SIA licence and getting started in the industry.

Already licensed? We have a range of roles ready for you across our sites.

With different locations, shifts and site types available, we’ll work with you to find something that fits your lifestyle.

Pay and Shift Details

• £16.20 per hour (site-based rates may vary)
• Various shifts available
• Opportunities across multiple locations in Devon

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing a visible security presence on site
• Helping keep customers, colleagues and visitors safe
• Supporting loss prevention and reducing incidents
• Monitoring and reporting incidents using digital systems
• Responding calmly and professionally to any issues
• Following site procedures, including fire and evacuation processes
• Keeping the security area clean and organised
• Delivering a friendly, professional service every shift
• Carrying out searches in line with site requirements
