Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer for a busy Exeter store. You will help protect staff and customers, patrol premises, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents with calm authority.

The role requires a valid SIA license, a 5-year career history, physical fitness, and the ability to work under pressure; training and security equipment will be provided.

Qualifications

• SIA license required.
• Five-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Physically fit to undertake tasks.
• Able to work under pressure.

About the role

Title - Retail security officer

Pay Rate - £13.58ph

Location - Exeter

Shift Timings - Full time 40 hours per week- Must be flexible to work day shifts and weekends

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets
• Greeting customers and helping staff
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
