Main Responsibilities

We believe effective deterrence involves understanding vulnerabilities and tailoring our approach to reduce risks. As a Retail Security Officer, you will provide visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete reports, and collaborate with authorities.

• Patrol the shop floor to deter crime
• Assess vulnerabilities and proactively minimize risks
• Liaise with management and authorities
• Manage vulnerable persons with empathy
• Conduct searches in line with company policy
• Use tablets/phones for reporting and planning
• Provide detailed incident reports to assist clients and authorities

Hours:

18 hours/week

Shift Pattern:

Monday & Tuesday, 13:00-22:00

Hourly Rate:

£14.00

The Person

You should be a confident communicator, able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts, welcoming, patient, and capable of handling conflict professionally.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Must have a valid SIA licence. Previous retail security experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.

Current SIA Guarding or Door Supervisor licence required.
