Job summary

Indespension is seeking a Retail Sales & Service Advisor at the Cardiff branch. You will actively contribute towards achieving branch sales targets by selling trailers, parts and towing accessories, and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing orders, advising on trailer hire and towbar fitting, coordinating with the workshop, maintaining displays, and handling cash and admin duties in line with Health and Safety policies.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience, ideally in a trade counter, motor trade or hire industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Full clean driving licence preferable.
• Willingness to work 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Actively sell trailers/parts/equipment face to face and by phone; promote products following procedures.
• Serve customers politely at counter, off-site, or on the phone with professional advice.
• Take orders for trailer hire and towbar fitting and update the diary.
• Liaise with the Workshop to maintain steady workload and stock flow.
• Ensure stock orders are shelved promptly and displays are kept tidy and attractive.
• Assist with stock takes and maintain filing systems; handle daily cash paperwork and payments.

Retail Sales & Service Advisor

Location: Cardiff Branch, CF11 8TX

Salary : £26,208 per annum, plus Bonus scheme

Vacancy Type: Permanent, 9am-5pm Mon-Fri

Indespension is a leading manufacturer of trailers offering a complete service including sales of new and used trailers, a full range of parts and towing accessories for most makes of trailer, trailer servicing and repair and a towbar fitting service.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced retail Sales & Service Advisor. The successful candidate will be required to actively contribute towards achieving Branch sales/margin targets through increasing sales to existing and new Customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Actively sell (face to face and over the telephone) and promote Indespension trailers/parts/associated equipment ensuring correct procedures are followed;
• Serve customers politely and efficiently either at the counter, off site, on the telephone, providing professional and timely advice on trailers/services and towing accessories;
• Advise and take orders for trailer hire and towbar fitting updating the diary accordingly.
• Liaise with the Store Workshop to ensure they are kept supplied with a steady workload;
• Ensure all stock orders received are shelved at the earliest opportunity and are presented safely, tidily and in an attractive manner. Displays should be updated and maintained regularly to maximise customer interest;
• Assist with stock takes as required;
• Keep work area tidy and operate within the Health and Safety policy of the Company;
• Wear the Company uniform at all times and uphold the Indespension Brand.
• Administrative duties, including daily cash paperwork, banking, petty cash, raise invoices/credit notes accurately and maintain accurate filing systems.
• Ensure payment for goods is received accurately.

The Candidate:

• Previous experience in retail sales, ideally in a trade counter environment, motor trade or hire industry;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills;
• A full clean driving licence preferable;
• Train/drive a Fork Lift Truck if required.
