Role Overview

This position is responsible for managing a team of account executives and selling SAP's products and solutions to customers and prospects in the UKI Retail industry. The focus is on both named accounts and new business territories. The successful candidate will develop and drive a sales culture that consistently overachieves revenue targets and maintains strong customer relationships. Typically, this role carries a sales quota.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage resources to ensure business-critical and innovative results
  • Build action plans and make operational decisions regarding policies, tactics, and resources to ensure the success of the team or department
  • Achieve annual goals established for the team or department
  • Lead and support a team of professionals, supporting their development and performance

Complexity of Role

  • Make day-to-day decisions within or for a team or department
  • Collaborate effectively with direct reports
  • Apply expertise in daily activities to achieve objectives

Experience Requirements

  • Progressively increasing managerial experience
  • At least 15 years of professional sales experience in a corporate software sales organization
  • Proven ability to create the future, build teams, develop people, and manage performance

Communication Skills

  • Build strategic partnerships with key decision-makers in customer and partner organizations
  • Represent SAP to customers and partners
  • Encourage team cooperation and open expression of opinions
  • Set clear objectives, strategies, and work assignments
  • Communicate difficult messages constructively and timely
  • Listen actively to understand team ideas and opinions

Location

This role is based in the UK. Candidates requiring relocation are not being considered.
