The Role

As a Sales Assistant, you’ll support your store team in driving sales and managing daily operations. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service to optimise KPI performance.

Key Responsibilities

At Majestic Wine, our Customers are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.

We are looking for people who:

  • Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting targets through KPI focus
  • Deliver market-leading customer service to promote business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases
  • Offer VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings
  • Share your passion for products with in-depth knowledge of our range
  • Take ownership of your wine knowledge, supporting your WSET qualification and confidence in selling
  • Maintain the store’s appearance and operational standards internally and externally
  • Participate in operational tasks such as delivering wine, merchandising, stock deliveries, and customer outreach
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and collaborate with the team to implement solutions
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements
  • Model Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members
  • As a key holder, operate the store independently during opening and closing

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Excellent time-management, delegation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Positive attitude and problem-solving mindset

  • Strong communication skills
  • Passion to learn about wines and pass level 2 WSET qualifications
  • Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points
