Who are we?
Majestic is the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer, operating over stores nationwide. Founded in , the company has recently returned to private ownership after being acquired by Fortress Investment Group. It has undergone a significant transformation, including record market share growth, a new website, and six new stores, with plans for further expansion over the next five years. Our range includes over 1, different wines, spirits, and beers, available online and in-store. The Role
As a Sales Assistant, you will support your store team in driving sales and managing daily operations. You will deliver exceptional customer service to enhance KPI performance.
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic Wine, our Customers are central to everything we do. You will act as an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.
We seek individuals who:
Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and supporting your team to meet and exceed targets through KPI focus.
Deliver exceptional, market-leading customer service to foster business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
Offer VIP concierge services by actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
Share your passion for products through in-depth knowledge, selling the story, not just discounts.
Own your wine knowledge, continually learning to support your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
Maintain the store’s appearance and operational standards both internally and externally.
Participate in operational tasks like delivering wine, stock merchandising, and customer outreach to drive sales.
Identify improvement opportunities to enhance store operations and collaborate on solutions.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements, completing mandatory training.
Model Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members, providing feedback to your Store Manager.
As a key holder, you understand opening/closing procedures and can operate the store independently.
Knowledge & Skills Required
Excellent time-management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service.
Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Proactive, resilient, and adaptable to changing business needs.
Strong communication skills.
Passion for wine and eagerness to pursue level 2 WSET qualifications.
Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
