Majestic Wine Thame is looking for a dynamic, ambitious, and driven individual eager to grow and develop within a company revolutionising retail!

The Role

As a Sales Assistant, you will support your store team by driving sales performance and managing the day-to-day operations of your store. You will deliver exceptional customer service to optimise KPI performance. As a Majestic Wine Driver, you'll meet and converse with different customers daily. This role involves more than just driving; it's about helping others and providing excellent service with a smile. It's hands-on, physical, and varied.

Key Responsibilities

Our customers are central to everything we do. In this role, you'll be an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for every customer. We are looking for individuals who:

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting your team to meet and exceed targets through KPI focus.
• Provide exceptional, market-leading customer service to foster business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Offer a VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
• Share your passion for products and sell the story, not just discounts, demonstrating in-depth product knowledge.
• Take ownership of your wine knowledge, continuously learning to support your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
• Maintain the store's appearance and cleanliness both internally and externally.
• Participate in operational tasks such as delivering wine, merchandising stock, and engaging with customers to drive sales.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with your team to implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements by completing mandatory training.
• Lead by example in Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members, providing feedback to your Store Manager.
• As a key holder, operate the store independently during opening and closing times, understanding compliance requirements.

Knowledge & Skills Required

• Excellent time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service.
• Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive attitude with a passion for resolving problems.
• Adaptability and resilience to meet changing business demands.
• Strong communication skills and effective time management.
• Wine knowledge is beneficial; a passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET wine qualifications.
• Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
