The Role

As a Sales Assistant, you will support your store team in driving sales performance and managing daily operations. You will deliver exceptional customer service to optimise KPI performance.

Key Responsibilities

At Majestic Wine, our customers are at the heart of everything we do. You will act as an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting targets through KPI focus
  • Deliver market-leading customer service to foster business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases
  • Offer a VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings
  • Share your passion for our products through in-depth knowledge and sell the story, not just discounts
  • Take ownership of your wine knowledge, supporting your WSET qualification and confidence in selling
  • Maintain the store’s appearance and operational standards both internally and externally
  • Participate in operational tasks such as delivering wine, merchandising, stock deliveries, and customer outreach
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and suggest solutions
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal standards
  • Lead by example in Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members
  • As a key holder, manage store opening and closing procedures independently

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Excellent time-management, delegation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude with problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability and resilience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion to learn more about wine; wine knowledge is beneficial
  • Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points
