The Role
As a Sales Assistant, you will support your store team by driving sales and managing daily store operations. You will deliver exceptional customer service to optimize KPI performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and supporting your team to meet and exceed targets.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Provide personalized service by actively engaging with customers about products and tastings.
- Share your passion and knowledge of our products to enhance customer experience.
- Continuously develop your wine knowledge to support your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
- Maintain the store’s appearance and organization internally and externally.
- Participate in operational tasks like stock delivery, merchandising, and customer outreach to boost sales.
- Identify and suggest improvements to optimize store operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal standards.
- Lead by example and support junior team members, reporting to the Store Manager.
- As a key holder, manage store opening and closing procedures confidently in the absence of management.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Excellent time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication skills.
- Passion to learn about wine; wine knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
- Full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
