Overview

The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is looking for a part-time, permanent Retail Sales Assistant to work at Shakespeare’s Birthplace Shop and Bookshop on Henley Street and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage in Shottery, both within Stratford-upon-Avon.

You will work an average of 24.5 hours per week, with a pattern of 28 hours in week 1 and 21 hours in week 2, including alternate weekends and a fair share of Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Advise and serve customers and add value to their purchases and experiences.
  • Deal with retail deliveries, cleaning and merchandising of displays.
  • Advise prospective visitors of the Trust’s offers.
Qualifications
  • Previous retail experience is preferential.
  • Excellent customer service, an enquiring mind and an outgoing personality are essential.
