As part of this group, the Science and Industry Museum (Manchester) continues the audience journey by providing a seamless experience into one of its varied retail outlets.
We are looking for a Retail Sales Advisor to join our friendly, supportive, and highly motivated team based at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester. This is a part-time role, working 15 hours per week, primarily at weekends.
As a Retail Sales Advisor, you will help maximise sales and profit by actively approaching and assisting customers in finding and purchasing merchandise. You will take responsibility for specific areas of the store's operation, maintaining visual merchandising and housekeeping at the highest standard.
You will create an environment in which customers feel welcome and comfortable, working towards sales targets set by management to achieve set budgets and targets, and building upon current team KPIs. You will also be responsible for replenishing stock and assisting with monthly and annual stock takes.
Joining us, you will have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to deliver product knowledge in a customer-focused environment. You will work well as part of a diverse team and aim to meet and exceed targets.
Good communication skills are essential, with the ability to convey information, including product knowledge, to a wide range of people. A proactive approach to improving your own knowledge and skills, and learning from experienced colleagues, is also important.
