Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Retail Relief Security Officer to protect our client's store and assets while delivering a welcoming shopping experience. You will deter theft, assist customers, and support daily store operations across multiple sites within a reasonable distance of home, following site instructions and KPIs.

The role requires an up-to-date SIA licence and a CCTV licence where applicable, with ongoing training to develop security and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail security or loss prevention is desirable.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly visible security presence on the shop floor to deter theft.
• Deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers and guiding them.
• Monitor activity and respond to incidents to support store operations.
• Carry out regular patrols and complete incident reports accurately.
