RETAIL PROJECT COORDINATOR

Job Outline
Department: Retail - GSU
Reports to: Head of Retail
Based: Hybrid working model with a combination of in-office Theale/Reading, London Store and remote work. Some international travel may be required to support Store-in-Store expansions and direct flagship store openings.

The Position
The Retail Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Retail in managing day-to-day operational tasks, analysing sales data and KPIs, and assisting with a wide range of retail projects. Roland Retail is a fast paced and growing department within Roland Corporation. This role will focus on driving the expansion of Roland’s global D2C Strategy and Store-in-Store model. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a passion for retail and project management.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and innovation of a global musical instrument brand. The Retail Project Coordinator will play a key role in shaping the future of the retail network and elevating the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
  • Assist the Head of Retail with daily administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth retail operations.
  • Coordinate with Roland store in stores and Roland Direct Stores around the world to ensure alignment with retail objectives and processes.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Collate and analyse sales data, customer engagement metrics, and other KPIs to provide actionable insights.
  • Create presentations and dashboards to communicate performance results effectively.
Project Management
  • Support the expansion of Roland Store-in-Store concept by coordinating logistics, timelines, and communications between international teams.
  • Play a key role in planning and executing the opening of the direct flagship stores across the world, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners (designers, contractors, suppliers) to ensure project deliverables are on time and within budget.
Communication and Collaboration
  • Act as a central point of contact between the Head of Retail, Store in Store teams, and other departments.
  • Facilitate effective communication across teams to support the execution of projects and initiatives.
  • Manage project documentation, ensuring all information is up to date and accessible.
Essential Skills
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and KPIs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Trello, Asana).
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a retail environment, in relatable sector.
  • Previous involvement in project coordination, store openings, or retail expansion.
  • Familiarity visualising data for management and stakeholders.
