Job summary

Fahrenheit Security is seeking a plain clothes store detective for a busy fashion store on Oxford Street, London. The role requires at least 1 year of plain-clothed security experience in a high-traffic retail environment, and a Frontline DS SIA license.

You will work in a team of security officers, wearing plain clothes, monitoring for theft and deterring shoplifters, with strong communication and loss prevention skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year plain-clothed security experience in a busy retail environment.
• Current Frontline DS SIA license and BS 7858 compliant employment history.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Observe and deter theft, identify shoplifters and protect stock.
• Wear plain clothes and operate as part of a security officer team.
• Use radios, alarms and other security tools to monitor the store.
• Write concise reports and, if required, give evidence in court.
• Respond to incidents and call police when needed.
