Job summary

Belk in Birmingham is seeking a Support Flex Associate to drive sales and deliver a positive customer experience by processing inbound deliveries and preparing merchandise for the floor. You will support inventory accuracy, housekeeping, and promotions, while collaborating with merchandising teams.

The role is hourly and requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. You will help maintain store standards and assist customers to ensure a high-quality shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Dedicated to customer service and achieving store objectives.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Clear communication and professional demeanor.
• Comfortable with technology, including Windows devices.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must regularly move around store areas and lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership and initiative to meet daily priorities.
• Unload cartons from truck deliveries and ensure product readiness for sales floor.
• Apply sensor tags, manage transfers, damage processing and RFID tasks.
• Assist with facilities processes and store maintenance.
• Support floor sets, product presentations, and promotions.
• Replenish supplies and maintain cleanliness; organize tools and equipment.
• Assist customers to enhance in-store experience and support peak periods.
• Foster a positive store culture through teamwork and knowledge sharing.
• Follow asset protection, safety guidelines and security protocols.
