Overview

If so, at eXPD8, we're looking for a Retail Merchandiser based in the DL12 8BH area. You'll be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working on behalf of exciting household name brands. Although you will be based in one area, there are work opportunities across a variety of different stores.

You will be responsible for ensuring the fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and the shelves are well-stocked.

Role details

Location: Morrisons Barnard Castle area (variety of categories including DVDs, Books, Games).

Confirmed working days/hours: 5. Start time 09:30 am. Plus ad hoc work as agreed.

Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Standards: Know and follow merchandising standards, store policies and procedures, and health and safety guidance.
  • Planogram execution: Follow and implement planograms provided to ensure consistency and compliance with merchandising standards.
  • Product Placement and Replenishment: Arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
  • Promotional and Point of Sale Setup: Set up promotional displays and signage to communicate prices, discounts, and special offers.
  • Relationship building: Build and maintain good working relationships with in-store colleagues, particularly department and store managers.
  • Feedback: Provide accurate and timely feedback to client account teams via the feedback application, acting as the eyes and ears in the stores.

  • Experience of, or a passion for, merchandising, retail and/or customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thrive on owning your own work within set timeframes and using your own initiative to find solutions.
  • Take pride in delivering great standards and service for clients.
  • Be comfortable with manual handling and moving/arranging products from the warehouse to the shopfloor.
  • Willing to accept home deliveries of point of sale or stock items for some visits (paid extra).
  • Confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos and answer questions about tasks.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car is a bonus.
